# Atten

> Atten is a free attendance register, class routine and marks app for teachers and students. Take attendance in a few taps or from a roll list, record CT marks, track pardoned leave, see who is falling behind and export PDF or CSV reports. English and Bangla. No ads, no account, and everything stays on your phone.

Atten ("Every Class. Every Record.") is a free Android app by Softisia for teachers and students. It stores all data locally on the user's device in an on-device database. There is no account, no server, no ads, no analytics and no tracking; the Android app does not request internet permission. It is supported by voluntary donations.

## FAQ

### Is Atten free?

Yes. Atten is free, with no ads, subscriptions or locked features. If it helps you, you can support Softisia through the Support us button.

### Do I need an account or internet?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Atten works fully offline; the Android app does not even request internet permission.

### Where are my students’ records stored?

Only on your phone, in the app’s private storage. Softisia never receives them. Use Backup & restore to keep a copy somewhere safe, because uninstalling the app or losing the phone deletes the data on it.

### Can I enter attendance from a roll list?

Yes. In Take attendance, tap Roll list and type rolls like “3, 7, 12-14”. Choose whether the listed students are absent, present, late or on leave; everyone else gets the opposite.

### How does pardoned leave work?

Mark a student as Excused (E) and add a reason such as sick leave. Excused sessions are left out of that student’s percentage, so approved absences never count against them.

### Can students use it too?

Yes. Atten has a separate student workspace with your routine (several teachers per course, week-specific changes), self-attendance per course and marks with an estimated grade. Teacher and student data are kept apart.

### Does it work in Bangla?

Yes. Switch between English and বাংলা in Settings at any time. Names and notes can be in Bangla, and they appear correctly in PDF and CSV exports.
